ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) to file reply within four weeks in the case against summoning of son of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar in parliamentary committee.
The petition came up for hearing before a single bench of IHC led by Justice Babar Sattar Monday.
The court while moving to AGP remarked the court had raised some questions and he has been called in connection with replies to these questions.
The court inquired from the AGP you will need how much time to give reply to the questions of court.
The court remarked " we give you four weeks. There are some legal points and your assistance will be needed on these points.
AGP said the federal government constitut4ed commission in regard to alleged audio leaks matter. What the questions have been raised by the court are also before Supreme Court (SC). The apex court too has to announce its decision on these questions.
Justice Babar Sattar remarked " assist us on our five points. The matter has eventually to go to SC. May be we give some decision and it may prove assistance for SC.
IHC directed AGP to file reply within four weeks.
The court also directed that AGP should provide copies of reply to the respondents.
The stay order against summoning of son of former CJP by special committee was extended.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till August 16.
