Taliban govt bans women beauty salons in Afghanistan

KABUL: Taliban government has imposed ban on women beauty salons in Afghanistan.

Spokesperson for the Taliban Ministry of Vice and Virtue Muhammad Akif said while talking to Afghan Channel that following the issuance of verbal orders by Taliban leaders ban has been slapped on women beauty parlors in different provinces including Kabul.

Under these orders the licenses of all beauty salons operating in Kabul municipality have been cancelled.

Taliban have earlier imposed ban on women and girls to go to parks, cinemas and other recreational spots and their educational institutions.

Taliban are facing criticism at international level due to imposition of these restrictions on women.
