ISLAMABAD: The electricity shortfall has exceeded 6000 megawatts across country.

The duration of electricity load shedding has reached to 10 hours.

According to sources of Power Division, the shortfall of electricity is 6160 megawatts.

The overall production of electricity is 20540 megawatts and 26700 megawatt is required.

According to sources of Power Division, government thermal power plants are producing 570 megawatt electricity and hydropower generates 8000 megawatt electricity.

The production of electricity of power houses of private sectors is 7300 megawatt.

The production of electricity by wind power plants is 1200 megawatt.

The production of electricity by solar power plants is 120 megawatts.

150 MW of electricity is being generated from bagasse.

The production of electricity by Nuclear power plants is 3200 megawatts.

According to sources of Power Division, load shedding is being done for 10 hours across the country.
