Tourists pour into snow-covered upper areas after snowfall

MURREE: Weather has taken another turn towards acute cold snap after heavy snowfall in mountainous areas of the country; tourists are pouring into the sub-zero areas despite the deep freeze.

The tourists are headed towards Murree, when it was overwhelmed by flakes of snow. Abbottabad also is in deep freeze with sustained precipitation of ice-crystals, so much that Murree-Abbottabad road has to be closed.

Snowfall has added greatly to the beauty of Swat. Meantime, several other areas including Malam Jabba and Kalam are expected to receive more precipitation.

The first fall of snow in the season pushed the temperature further below in Kalat. Also, freezing temperature plummeted in Gilgit and Hunza after snowfall.

Similarly, Dera Ghazi Khan’s scenic tourist resort of Fort Munro became all the more attractive after the snowfall, enticing the tourists towards the place.
