Traders intend no confrontation with government

RAWALPINDI: The president Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce Industries (RCCI) Dr. Shamayal Daud Arian has said that Pakistan’s Traders’ fraternity wanted no confrontation with government.

Addressing the concluding press conference of 2-day All-Pakistan Chambers’ Presidents conference (APCPC) at Bhurban, he reminded that, it was from this very platform government had been provided with solutions and relief at all times.

He further deliberated said that APCPC had decided to hold this conference after every three months’ time, in order to keep check and balance on government(s).

He stressed on government to start Pak-Iran gas pipeline project with immediate effect, while also urging effective utilization of various energy resources, which besides helping resolve the energy crisis would also be helpful in assisting Pakistan’s GSP plus status.

Among other effective measures, he also recommended printing less currency, while also stressing to take steps to ameliorate other financial sectors like Railways’ reforms.

He also suggested complete transparency in privatization process, and bring the 10.9% inflation to single digit deficit.

He said that recommendations floated had been fully agreed upon by federal minister Iqbal Ahsan.
