ISLAMABAD: Senator Abbas Afridi has said that if government is serious about dialogue with Taliban it will have to take tribal people into confidence.

Talking exclusively to Online here on Monday, he said that if government was really serious for dialogue with Taliban and wanted peace, it would have to take all tribals into confidence.

Replying to a question, he lauded the Jirga arranged previous month, but expressed his dismay at the non-serious attitude of government regarding taking tribals into confidence over the dialogue with Taliban.

“Unless local tribals are taken into confidence, there is no chance of dialogue with Taliban being successful” he cautioned.
