TTP offers peace talks amidst threats of new attacks (Detailed)

ISLAMABAD: Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has offered government for peace dialogues amidst new threats of more attacks and asked government to prove its authority and sincerity with dialogue process.

TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid, in a letter issued to media on Sunday, said that Taliban were ready for meaningful dialogue.

TTP spokesman added that Taliban were ready for talks, however, the government should show its powers and sincerity.

He also accepted responsibility of many other terror incidents including CID Headquarter Karachi attack, Mehran base attack.

Taliban said that the Bannu attack was launched by TTP Mehsud wing as a revenge of Wali-Ur-Rehman’s death, Taliban No.2 who was killed in a drone attack last year.

“TTP courageously accepts responsibility of attack on security forces in Bannu cant that was carried out by one of the brave comrade of TTP and killed army personnel who were ready to subject cruelty on Muslims of Waziristan,” said the statement.

The statement also paid tribute to Hakim Ullah Mehsud and Wali-Ur-Rehman who played leading role to shift this ‘Renaissance of Caliphate (Ihya e Khilafat)’ war in every nuke and corner of the country.

“TTP wants to give clear-cut message to people of Pakistan that our war is for implementation of ‘Shariah’ and we will never give up principles of Shariah,” statement added.
