ISLAMABAD: Doctors in UK’s Cromwell Hospital have reportedly suggested former president Pervez Musharraf’s wife that she should get her husband shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.

According to a private TV channel, Sehba Musharraf telephoned doctors in Cromwell Hospital and consulted over her husband’s heart problem. She has been advised to shift the former military ruler within 8 to 10 days.

Musharraf is under treatment in Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) of Rawalpindi. He was rushed there after complaining of chest pains while being driven to the court where his high treason trial was due to begin.

The channel said Musharraf underwent therapy of his left shoulder today, with no decision yet on his angiography.

“Musharraf’s one artery is blocked, he is suffering from frozen shoulder (left), mental stress, spine, kidney, knee and tooth diseases and his sleep was also disturbed,” according to the medical reports.

He is taking medicines for heart and other diseases, the doctors said, adding that his three arteries are blocked.
