Ulema to be taken in ‘safe custody’, before targeted operation

LAHORE: The provincial government of Punjab, due to began its targeted operation against ‘lawless elements’ , from today Wednesday , has ordered all renowned Ulema in “safe custody” , over fears of resisting government’s endeavours.

The Provincial home ministry has asked all DCOs to submit names of such Ulema who could possibly stir any resistance, while they have also been authorized to lock-up any Ulema whom DCOs consider to be possibly a problem.

According to sources the targeted operation would cover such Punjab areas as Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sargodha, and Southern Punjab region.
