Winter vacations extended till January 11 in federal capital educational institutions

ISLAMABAD: Winter vacation has been extended till January, 11 in educational institutions in federal capital in the wake of severe cold spell.

The CAD spokesman Tahir Rafiq has announced to close down educational institutions in federal capital till January 11. The schools, colleges and other institutions were reopened on January 1 on expiry of winter vacations in Islamabad.

The parents were demanding extension in the winter vacations as the biting cold spell is raging in the federal capital wherein the temperature has dropped to minus 4 Celsius degree forcing the inmates to stay indoors.

Winter vacations in all the private educational institutions of Rawalpindi division have been extended till January, 5. This has been announced by divisional president of All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association Ibrar Ahmad Khan. Private schools will now reopen on January, 6.
