Women Police station working under Male incharge

ISLAMABAD: Appointment of a male police in charge in the women police station of federal capital has deprived of the women from the doors of justices.

Details said, police authorities have appointed Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Ashfaq as in charge in the women police station since last month which has raised the difficulties for both lady constables and affected women.

Sources said, authorities have made this appointment despite of availability of senior lady police inspector, while victim women are facing problems because they are reluctant to express the incident occurred with them before a male in charge.

Different women rights protection NGOs and other organization have protested against this measure of government and demanded to appoint a woman in charge in police station as soon as possible.
