Young students can improve defence productions’ standards: Rana Tanveer

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Defense Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that “Our country and young students have a lot of potential and new ideas may be incorporated to improve and raise standards in defence productions” .

Talking to newly designate Managing Director of National Radio Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC), Brig Iftikhar Ahmed who called on the minister after assuming office, the state minister assured that exports of radio telecommunication should be followed aggressively and increased.

The new MD, NRTC briefed the Minister about the working of NRTC and how he planned to take the Industry further; while the minister on the occasion said that research and development is one area which needs to be strengthened.

Minister for Defense Production also expressed that African and Gulf Region may be explored for increasing exports.

Rana Tanveer would be visiting Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) to inaugurate a urea plant which speaks volume of the efforts to run defence industries on profitable lines.
