JI would field youth at maximum numbers of seats in the coming election: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Sirajul Haq on Tuesday presided over a meeting of the JI Central Parliamentary Board and reiterated that the party would field youth at maximum numbers of seats in the coming election, vowing to follow the track record of awarding tickets to honest and capable people.

Sirajul Haq expressed satisfaction over the performance of the JI in the cantonment boards election and advised the JI workers to work further hard to keep intact the pace. He extended congratulation to the winners and JI workers. He said the PM took U-turn on every of its stance after coming into power.

The JI chief said the government after destroying the economy and other institutions was now trying to curb the freedom of media. He said the JI would never accept the curb on media freedom and was standing with the journalist community struggle for free media.

Sirajul Haq appealed the people to reject the status quo parties and vote for the JI in the election to transform Pakistan into Islamic welfare state. He said the PTI, the PML-N and the PPP proved the sides of the same coin and they did nothing for the country during the tenures in power. He said the PTI claimed that it would bring real change but nothing had been changed in three years. He said the JI was the only option left with the people and the party would bring the real change if voted to power.
