Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League leadership has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of comedy king Omar Sharif.

PML President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Federal Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi, in their messages on Saturday, prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of Omar Sharif and give his family and loved ones the strength to bear this trauma with courage and patience

Ch Shujat Hussain said that he is deeply saddened by the demise of Omar Sharif. Omar Sharif was an artist of Pakistan who was known all over the world.

Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that Omar Sharif, who spread smiles on sad faces, has passed away. Omar Sharif was a man of compassion for the artist community.

Federal Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi said that comedy lovers all over the world including Pakistan have lost a great artist today. Ch Parvez Elahi as Chief Minister had also named Omar Sharif Road after him.

The PML leaders prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of Omar Sharif and give his family and loved ones the strength to bear this trauma with courage and patience.
