Srinagar: Relentless rains over the past week have unleashed death and destruction across the Jammu region in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir with flash floods, landslides and cloudbursts claiming dozens of lives and displacing thousands.
According to media reports, multiple rescue and relief operations are underway in Jammu, Samba, Reasi, Doda and Kishtwar districts of the territory where rivers and nallahs have swollen beyond danger levels.
Officials said more than 12,000 people have been evacuated to safer locations, while connectivity to at least 50 villages remains snapped.
