Lahore Police is utilizing all available resources to maintain law and order in the city. Significant achievements have been made through effective patrolling, checkpoints, and search operations.
Crime Report Details: Shadbagh Police arrested a three-member gang involved in multiple robberies. The arrested suspects include Usman, Ghulam Mustafa, and Hammad. Two motorcycles and illegal weapons were recovered from them. The gang had recently knocked down a citizen, snatched cash and a motorcycle, and fled. Mughalpura Police arrested a two-member notorious dacoit gang, including its leader. The arrested suspects, Daniyal and Ali, had stolen three goats from the Mughalpura area a few days ago. They have been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further inquiry. Shadman Police swiftly responded to a 15 emergency call and arrested a suspect involved in assaulting a domestic worker. The suspect, Tahir, called the victim, IramBibi, to his house under the pretext of work while his wife was away. Upon her arrival, he assaulted her and threatened her with severe consequences if she reported the incident.
A case has been registered, and legal action has been initiated against him. Cantt Division Police arrested 12 kite flyers in different operations across Manawan, Baghbanpura, Hair, Factory Area, North Cantt, and Defense A. The arrested individuals include Hamza, Imran, Shehzad, Sarfaraz, and Sufiyan. Kites and strings were seized from them. Nishtar Colony Police arrested a suspect for injuring a 2-year-old child with an air gun.
The suspect, Yasir, fired the gun to scare the child, but the pellet hit the child's head, causing unconsciousness. The child was immediately shifted to a hospital. The police recovered the air gun and registered a case against the suspect. Samanabad Police arrested a dangerous fugitive, Sher Muhammad Khan, wanted for multiple serious crimes. He was a highly trained and wanted criminal in case number 394 at Harbanspura Police Station. The suspect had previously injured a citizen in a robbery and fled to Afghanistan. Upon his return, he was immediately apprehended.
Mujahid Squad recovered a large quantity of hashish worth millions at the Saggian checkpoint. During a routine check, police stopped a suspicious loader rickshaw and found 61.5 kg of hashish. The arrested suspect, Sufiyan from Begum Kot, was transporting the drugs. Punjab Society Police Checkpoint arrested a notorious drug dealer, Zaheer Ahmed, who had 15 previous cases on record. More than 1.5 kg of hashish was recovered from him.
He admitted to supplying drugs to youth in various parts of Lahore. Mayo Hospital Police Checkpoint arrested two suspects for possessing illegal weapons and flavored shisha. Police recovered four motorcycles, two mobile phones, seven pistols, one rifle, magazines, and bullets. Additionally, they seized alcohol, 420 grams of crystal meth (ice), and hashish from drug dealers. During patrolling, police also arrested 26 wanted criminals, 123 habitual offenders, and 16 court fugitives. 20 suspects involved in one-wheeling and three suspects engaged in kite-flying and fireworks violations were also arrested.
