Rawalpindi: Judge Mohammad Ali Waraich of the Special Accountability Court of Islamabad recorded the statement of NAB investigation officer Mian Umar Nadeem in the Al-Qadir Trust reference based on the financial scandal of 190 million pounds against former chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf and his wife Bushra Bibi.While the lawyers of the accused have also completed the cross-examination of one more witness of NAB, Deputy Director of NAB Umair Rather.On the occasion of the hearing, the former chairman and his wife were present in the court along with their lawyers Zaheer Abbas Chaudhry and Usman Riaz Gul, while NAB Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi and Amjad Parvez appeared in the court to record the statement of one witness and one more. After the cross-examination of the witness was completed, the hearing was adjourned till August 3.It should be noted that so far the statements of 35 witnesses have been recorded in the referenceWhile the lawyers of the accused have also completed the cross-examina tion of 35 witnesses, it should be noted that NAB has already withdrawn the names of 10 witnesses in this reference. The list now consists of 49 witnesses after the withdrawal of names.
