RAWALPINDI: Former state minister Zubaida Jalal while recording statement before Accountability Court (AC) in 190 million pounds case said a closed envelope was presented by Shahzad Akbar in cabinet meeting and the cabinet approved it on insistence of Imran Khan.She further said there was note from Prime Minister (PM) on one document. The second was confidential deed. I don't know about these papers.She stated that during PTI regime she discharged her obligations as state minister for defence production. I appeared before the investigating officer in May 2023 in connection with 190 million pounds reference. A closed envelope was presented by Shahzad Akbar in cabinet meeting in 2019. Closed envelope was presented in the cabinet meeting as additional agenda. Necessary procedure was not adopted before presenting additional agenda in cabinet. It is necessary that members be given briefing before presenting additional agenda in the cabinet.Shahzad Akbar said this is matter of 190 million pounds which has to be kept before cabinet.Shahzad Akbar told this money was transferred to UK illegally. National Crime Agency told that this amount has to be returned to government of Pakistan. Shahzad Akbar told matter of 190 million pounds is very confidential. The matter is sensitive and it should be approved forthwith.Other members including me raised objection over presenting additional agenda without briefing. The members objected that there should be debate on agenda before its approval. Shahzad AKbar stressed this money will come back to Pakistan. This agenda be approved immediately.Prime Minister Imran Khan also said this additional agenda be approved. Only on this logic I and other members approved this additional agenda.During appearance before NAB investigating officer two documents were shown. On one document there was note of prime minister and other document was confidential deed. I have no knowledge about these documents. I had already recorded statement before investigating officer.Imran Khan and law yers objected over interference by NAB counsel during statement of Zubaida Jalal.The defence counsel objected why Zubaida Jalal is being provided help by Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi. .PTI founder said Zubaida Jalal has remained state minister. She is educated lady.Deputy Prosecutor General NAB Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi replied cross questioning is your right. I am only guiding.With objections from defence counsels, the statement of Zubaida Jalal was recorded in writing.
