190 million pounds case: IHC to hear petitions filed by Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi for suspension of sentence, release on bail today

Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) will take up today (Wednesday) for hearing petitions filed by PTI pattern in chief Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi seeking suspension of their sentence in 190 million pounds case.

IHC registrar office has issued cause list for Wednesday.

A two members bench of IHC comprising acting chief justice Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif will hear the petitions.

Earlier hearing of the petitions was adjourned on NAB plea without proceedings.

Court had given time to NAB to appoint special public prosecutor till Wednesday.

It may be mentioned during May 15 hearing, notice was issued to NAB for filing reply.

PTI pattern in chief Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have filed petitions praying the court to suspend their sentence and release them on bail.

The court while announcing decision on January 17, 2024 had awarded 14 years punishment to Imran Khan and 7 years to Bushra Bibi.
