3 B.C personnel martyred 19 injured in remote controlled bomb blast

Quetta: A remote controlled bomb blast in the Mastung district of Balochistan has led to martyrdom of 3 personnel of the Balochistan Constabulary while 19 others have been injured.

As per security sources blast took place on Dasht road near Khand Mehsoori.

According to a spokesperson for the Balochistan government, the explosion occurred near a truck carrying security personnel.

Blast was carried out at the time when the Constabulary personnel were reportedly returning from duty in a police truck.

On information law enforcement agencies and rescue teams rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area besides conducting search operation.

All the injured have been shifted to hospital and condition of 2 injured personnel is stated to be precarious. The critically injured are being shifted to Quetta.

Authorities have launched an investigation, and a detailed report on the incident has been sought by provincial officials.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned terrorist attack on a vehicle of Balochistan Constabulary in Shamsabad area of district Mastung in Balochistan.

In their separate statements, they expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of three personnel of Balochistan Constabulary.

They prayed for higher ranks of the martyrs and grant of fortitude to their families. They also prayed for early recovery of the injured.

The President reiterated the resolve to continue efforts for complete elimination of terrorism from the country.

In his statement, the Prime Minister said nefarious designs of terrorists will be foiled. He vowed to continue war till complete elimination of terrorists from the country.

The Prime Minister also directed to provide swift medical treatment to the injured.
