Islamabad: A 3-member bench of Supreme Court (SC) has been constituted to hear double taxation treaty review case.The bench will be presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan are also included in the bench.The counsel Saad Hashmi while moving to CJP Qazi Faez Isa said Justice Mansoor Ali Shah had given dissenting note in double taxation case decision. You had authored the decision. Former CJP Umar Atta Bandial had agreed with your decision. Justice Mansoor Ali Shah who had written dissenting decision be also included in review bench.CJP Qazi Faez Isa said we include Justice Mansoor Ali Shah. The third judge of review bench will be Justice N aeem Akhtar Afghan.It is pertinent to mention here hearing of double taxation review case was fixed today in SC.Counsel Saad Hashmi requested for formation of new bench by including Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.SC 3-member bench will hear review case on October 21.
