3rd Round of Pakistan-Thailand Bilateral Political Consultations held in Islamabad

Islamabad: The 3rd Round of Pakistan-Thailand Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) was held in Islamabad on Tuesday. The Pakistan side was led by the Additional Foreign Secretary (Asia and Pacific) Imran Ahmed Siddique, while Mrs. Sirilak Niyom, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs led the Thailand side.

According to the statement issued by the Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, the two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of Pakistan-Thailand bilateral relationship and reaffirmed the commitment to further enhancing cooperation, inter alia, in the areas of trade and investment, development, education and people to people exchanges. Both sides resolved to strengthen ties between two countries and upgrade this enduring partnership.

The Consultations were held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere. The two sides agreed to maintain the momentum of high-level exchanges between Pakistan and Thailand.

Both sides also agreed to hold the next round of Bilateral Political Consultations in Bangkok on mutually agreed dates.
