Rawalpindi: Police while maltreating PTI leaders who have come to have meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala jail have taken them into custody.PTI leaders who have been taken into custody by police include opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Umar Ayoub, opposition leader in Senate Senator Shibli Faraz, , opposition leader in Punjab Assembly (PA) Malik Ahmad,Former speaker NA Asad Qaisar and Sahibzada Hamid Raza have also been arrested.As per jail sources these leaders have been arrested for violating section 144.The five leaders had gone to Adiala jail to meet Imran Khan. Jail authorities did not arrange the meeting with Imran Khan till 2 p.m and asked them to wait. The five leaders went to jail at 3 p.m for meeting again. But meeting was not arranged.When these five leaders mounted on their vehicles then police dragged out them from flag cars and arrested them subjecting them to maltreatment.PTI has strongly condemned the arrests of parliamentary leadership of opposition and demanded for immediate release of arrested leaders.On the other side jail administration has said the five leaders have been arrested for violating section 144 and mistreating police and administrative officers. Investigation has been started.
