Quetta: As many as 9 persons have been killed and 36 injured after an overspeeding passenger bus has overturned on Makran Coastal Highway.

SP Highways Police Aslam Bangulzai, said a passenger bus overturned at Hud Goth near Ormara in Gwadar district on Makran Coastal Highway. Bodies and injured have been shifted to Ormara hospital.

According to police authorities the passenger bus was on its way from Karachi to Jiwani . The deceased belonged to different areas of Sindh who were travelling to Jiwani for labor work .

The authorities further said there were 45 passengers on board the bus. 7 injured persons are stated to be in critical condition.

Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has sought detailed report of the accident besides ordering inquiry.

He has expressed deep sorrow and grief over loss of precious lives in the incident besides praying for early recovery of the injured persons.

He ordered to provide better medical treatment to the injured. He also ordered to provide ambulance bus service to transport bodies of deceased to native towns.
