Abdul Rehman Fudda welcomes Hormuz reopening, credits PM Shehbaz and Field Marshal Asim Munir

Karachi: President of the SITE Association of Industry, Abdul Rehman Fudda, welcomed Iran's decision to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, terming it a highly positive development for the global economy.

In a statement, SAI President said Pakistan's top leadership played a commendable role in achieving this breakthrough through timely and effective diplomacy. He praised Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar for demonstrating foresight and statesmanship.

Abdul Rehman Fudda was of the view that Pakistan's leadership not only contributed to easing tensions between the United States and Iran but also played a key role in facilitating a ceasefire, thereby helping save precious human lives.

He added that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz has helped avert a looming global energy crisis, ensuring the continued flow of petroleum supplies and stabilising international markets.

SAI Chief further said that this diplomatic success would strengthen Pakistan's positive image in the international community and serve as a significant milestone for promoting peace and stability in the region.
