Abolition of levy not relief package, a solution. PM should fulfill his pledge or we will start march from Multan again: JI Amir

Karachi: JI Amir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has said Fuel Relief Package is not a solution but levy be abolished.

" Prime Minister (PM) should fulfill his promise otherwise we will start protest from Multan again at any time, he said this while addressing a press conference here in Karachi.

It may be mentioned PM Shehbaz Sharif had contacted JI Amir prior to departure for US and he had assured JI Amir that he would see this matter on his return to Pakistan.

Hafi Naeem ur Rehman had postponed this long march upon it.

JI Amir said government is declaring relief package on petroleum products while relief too is not being provided to every one. Only 20 percent to 25 percent are getting this relief. There are two and half crore motorcycles and over 40 lac vehicles in Pakistan.

He claimed government was in a mood of providing relief. When the protests and the dharnas started then government came to this side. Opposition parties are not talking of people rights.

JI further said make separate system for affluent, Make the fuel expensive for large vehicles. Government announced Rs 26 billion relief monthly but they are collecting Rs 150 billion per month.

He said there is no relief for commuters in public transport. Abolition of levy is real relief and not relief package. We have told points that how it will become possible.

He made it clear that JI has not withdrawn from its demands for a single day. The government will have to abolish this extortion. We will start the protest again from Multan any time.

PM should demonstrate responsibility . We have earmarked October 07. 2026 entire day for people of Ghazza. Later we will announce our future strategy. Then government should not have any complaint from us.
