Islamabad: Acting Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan met with a delegation led by M. Siddique Sheikh, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the US-Pakistan International Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at the Parliament House. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral trade activities and exploring new avenues of cooperation.

The Acting Chairman Senate welcomed the delegation and lauded the efforts of chambers of commerce and international trade institutions for their role in promoting business, industrial, and economic development in Pakistan.

He said Pakistan's growing presence on the global stage is a positive development that will boost local economic activities, create new employment opportunities, and attract foreign investment. He further noted that overseas Pakistanis act as ambassadors of the country and their contributions are highly valued.

Syedaal Khan stated that while the global economy presents both opportunities and challenges, effective strategies can transform these challenges into economic gains. He highlighted Pakistan's vast investment potential and increasing international investor interest, affirming the government's commitment to creating a business-friendly and secure environment with expanding export opportunities.

He emphasized the government's ongoing efforts to facilitate the private sector and resolve their issues. Appreciating the role of the Pakistani business community in the United States, he said their contributions strengthen Pakistan's participation in global economic activities.

The Acting Chairman expressed hope that more high-level delegations would visit Pakistan to further strengthen cooperation with local industrial and commercial chambers.

Delegation leader M. Siddique Sheikh thanked the Acting Chairman and said he was pleased to visit Pakistan, adding that immense investment opportunities exist in the country. He invited Syedaal Khan to visit the United States and reaffirmed the diaspora's commitment to supporting Pakistan's economic growth.
