Islamabad: Acting President of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has warmly welcomed the successful negotiations between the Government's Negotiation Committee and the Joint Action Committee in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the agreement between both sides is a positive and constructive development, adding that the restoration of peace and normalcy in the region is a matter of great satisfaction.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq noted that with the successful talks, all baseless rumours and conspiracies against Pakistan have been laid to rest. He appreciated the efforts of both the government's team and the Joint Action Committee for their responsible and result-oriented approach.
The Acting President reaffirmed that public welfare and peace remain the top priority of the Government of Pakistan. He urged all stakeholders to focus on unity and national progress.
'Pakistan and Kashmir are inseparable. Protecting the rights of the Kashmiri people will always remain our foremost priority,' he said.
