Islamabad: Federation has filed intra court appeal in Supreme Court (SC) against decision given by senior judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah in additional registrar contempt of court case.

SC has been requested to declare null and void the decision given by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Aqeel Abbasi.

The petitioner has taken the plea January 27 decision of 2-member bench is transgression of powers.

Objection was raised on the powers of jurisdiction of the bench in central case. Regular bench cannot hear the case based on plea for challenging the law.

It was said in the petition that next date was fixed January 27 in the order after preliminary hearing. Second order was issued after some time. The date was changed on their own and fixed as January 16. No bench has powers to order to constitute bench by playing role of judges committee.

The petition further said SC judges committee was made dysfunctional practically in the decision.
