Islamabad: Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved package of 41 crore dollars for Reco-Dick project. According to media reports the package approved by ADB include a loan of 30 crore dollars for Barrick Gold. As per report the remaining 11 crore dollars of ADB package are financing guarantee for government of Pakistan. It is pertinent to mention here Barrick Gold company of Canada had nodded yes to work on Reco dick project to discover gold and copper deposits.

US media had told Barrick Gold company will have 50 percent share in the Reco dick project and the remaining 50 percent will be held by government of Pakistan and Balochistan government. It was said in the report that as per Brrick gold company work on first part of the project will start this year. First production of Reco-Dick project is expected in 2028.
