Muzaffarabad: AJK Supreme Court (SC) has suspended high court decision regarding interim registration of PTI.

As per media report a full bench has been constituted under AJK Chief Justice Saeed Akram Raja on the petition filed by Election Commission (EC).

Hearing will take place on July 02.

The EC took the plea during the hearing the high court granted relief more than what was requested. Therefore, this decision be declared null and void.

It is pertinent to mention here AJK High Court had ordered EC to register PTI. However EC challenged this decision in AJK SC.

Following the suspension of high court decision by SC, the PTI will not get electoral symbol bat for the time being.

General Election in AJK will take place on July 27, 2026.
