Islamabad: Aleema Khan sister of Imran Khan has moved Islamabad High Court (IHC) for seeking permission to obtain signature of Imran Khan on power of attorney in Adiala Jail.

Aleema Khan has requested the court through the petition to get return the documents handed over to deputy superintendent Adiala Jail after obtaining signature of Imran Khan on them.

The petition has been filed by barrister Suleman Safdar and other lawyers in IHC on behalf of Aleema Khan.

The petition said Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected bail pleas of Imran Khan. Challenging the decision for rejecting the bail pleas in Supreme Court (SC) is right of PTI founder.

According to petition the signatures of PTI founder on power of attorney are must for filing appeal plea in SC. The lawyers gave the documents to deputy superintendent Adiala jail for signatures of Imran Khan. These are not being returned after obtaining signatures of PTI founder.

It was further said in the petition filed by Aleema Khan that the period for resorting to SC is going to expire. Court should give permission for getting the power of attorney signed from Imran Khan. The jail authorities be ordered to give permission to get sign power of attorney from Imran Khan.
