Ali Pervaiz reaffirms Pakistan’s support to China’s sovereignty

Islamabad: Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has reaffirmed Pakistan's full support to China's sovereignty.

He was talking to Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong during his visit to the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed strategic relations between Pakistan and China, as well as cooperation in the energy and minerals sectors.

Ali Pervaiz Malik extended invitation to the Chinese Ambassador to attend the upcoming Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum 2026.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chinese Ambassador said his country will continue its cooperation for the economic development of the people of Pakistan. He noted that mining remains an important area of China-Pakistan collaboration. He said Chinese companies such as Metallurgical Corporation of China and C-NAK are currently working in Pakistan's mining sector.

Ambassador Jiang Zedong said the Saindak and Siyadak mineral projects are among China's key projects in Pakistan's mineral sector.

The Chinese Ambassador assured that he will encourage the heads of Chinese relevant institutions to participate in the Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum 2026.
