Alkhidmat Foundation announces special relief package for people of Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan

Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has announced a special relief package for the people of Gaza during the holy month of Ramadan. To implement this initiative, relief activities are underway not only in Pakistan but also in Egypt. In this connection, Alkhidmat Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri and Vice President Muhammad Abdul Shakoor visited Egypt and dispatched seven trucks of relief goods from Cairo to Gaza.The consignment includes tents to protect against cold and rain, as well as food packages for 3,360 families in the initial phase for the blessed days of Ramadan. On this occasion, Dr. Adil Riaz, President of Aghosh UK, Dr. Mahmood Alam, President of Aghosh Alkhidmat USA, along with other office-bearers and volunteers, were also present.Earlier, Alkhidmat officials visited Gaza refugees and orphaned children under the foundation's patronage in Egypt at their designated residential tower apartments. They met with them, discussed their issues and needs, paid tribute to their steadfast resolve in extremely difficult circumstances, and reaffirmed Alkhidmat's commitment to provide all possible assistance.Alkhidmat Foundation organized a dinner reception in honor of 100 affected families of Gaza, including orphaned children, widows, and refugees, in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Officials of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan attended the event and distributed relief packages and gifts.Speaking on the occasion, Syed Waqas Jafri said that Alkhidmat Pakistan, in collaboration with its international partners and the people of Pakistan, has been providing aid to the people of Gaza since the very first day of the war. He emphasized that their firm resolve is to continue this struggle and service until the complete rehabilitation of the affected people of Gaza.He further stated that before the start of Ramadan, Alkhidmat Foundation, in cooperation with NDMA, will send four chartered aircraft carrying relief goods from Pakistan to Al-Arish Airport, including 400 tons of food packages for Ramadan. This relief ai d will then be transported by land from Al-Arish into Gaza to reach the affected people.He added that along with rescue and relief operations, Alkhidmat has ensured that the education of Gaza's youth and children is not interrupted. Alkhidmat is providing academic scholarships to Palestinian youth from Gaza in Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and other countries.In addition, effective and practical measures are also underway for the injured and the sick. Medical relief has been provided to the affected individuals in Egypt, and some patients and injured persons have been transferred to Pakistan for treatment. This process will continue in the future in view of the needs of the affected people.Inside Gaza, Alkhidmat's active and determined teams are continuing their mission of service on all fronts, including the supply of relief goods, provision of ready-to-eat meals, education, healthcare, and clean drinking water.Muhammad Abdul Shakoor stated that in the next phases, Bano Qabil-style programs for Palestinia n youth from Gaza are being launched in Cairo and Pakistan. Through virtual and physical labs, young people currently living inside Gaza will also be able to learn modern skills and technology. He added that efforts will be made to establish Bano Qabil skill centers inside Gaza at the earliest possible time.
