Islamabad: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has dispatched its 35th consignment of relief goods for the victims of Gaza, reaffirming its continued commitment to humanitarian assistance in the conflict-hit region.

In collaboration with the Government of Pakistan and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Alkhidmat sent a 100-tonne air cargo shipment carrying food packages for 5,000 families.

The relief consignment was sent off by Syed Waqas Jafri, Secretary General of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, and Ikram-ul-Haq Subhani, Vice Chairman of Alkhidmat Disaster Management, along with officials from the government and NDMA.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Waqas Jafri said Alkhidmat Foundation has so far dispatched 4,957 tonnes of relief goods for Gaza's affected population. He expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan, NDMA, and the generous people of Pakistan whose contributions have enabled the organisation to sustain its relief operations.

'We pray that the hardships of the people of Gaza come to an end soon and they return safely to their homes,' Syed Waqas Jafri said, adding that Alkhidmat will continue its efforts not only in rescue and relief but also in the rehabilitation and reconstruction of affected families within its available resources.

The latest consignment includes flour, rice, cooking oil, ready-to-eat food, and other essential supplies.
