Alkhidmat holds Annual Connect 2025-26; distributes performance awards

Karachi: Deputy Qayyim of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Syed Firasat Ali Shah, said that Alkhidmat has crossed exemplary milestones of service over the past 50 years. He said that Alkhidmat is a shining example of service both within Pakistan and abroad.He expressed these views while addressing the 'Annual Connect 2026' ceremony organized by Alkhidmat Karachi at a local hall as the chief guest. At the event, employees who demonstrated outstanding performance throughout the year were paid rich tribute for their hard work, dedication, and services, and were awarded promotions and certificates.During the ceremony, the Media and Marketing Department and the Human Resources Department were awarded the Champion Trophy for best performance, while the Disaster Management Department received an excellence award. On the occasion, Chief Executive Naveed Ali Baig and Executive Director Rashid Qureshi also addressed the gathering. Directors, officials, senior managers, managers, and staff from all Alkhidmat programs and departments were in attendance. Syed Firasat Ali Shah said that Alkhidmat's services are worthy of emulation for the world.Addressing the staff, he said that they are associated with a noble mission of service, which is a matter of pride and carries immense reward. He highlighted Alkhidmat's role during earthquakes and floods, and said that during the COVID-19 pandemic-when the world was gripped by fear and businesses had come to a standstill-Alkhidmat set a remarkable example of humanitarian service.He added that Alkhidmat continues to serve Palestinian brothers and sisters and paid tribute to Alkhidmat workers and volunteers serving across the country. Speaking on the occasion, Naveed Ali Baig said that Alkhidmat has entered its 50th year of service and will set new service records in 2026. He stated that Alkhidmat's eight departments are working across all sectors of life.He added that the Bano Qabil program has expanded nationwide and is now operating in 24 cities, becoming a source of hope for youn g people. The younger generation is transforming its future through this program, and the fruits of the vision with which Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman launched this initiative are now beginning to benefit the nation.Executive Director Rashid Qureshi said that over the past 50 years, all departments of Alkhidmat have expanded significantly, which is highly commendable. He congratulated Alkhidmat employees and volunteers who have been engaged in serving people for years, sharing their sorrows and providing relief. He expressed hope that employees and volunteers will continue to carry out this mission of service with dedication and set new records in the years to come.
