Alkhidmat Karachi Inaugurates Its 75th Water Filtration Plant in Orangi Town

Karachi: Alkhidmat Karachi continues its mission of providing clean and safe drinking water to the citizens by inaugurating its 75th Water Filtration Plant in Orangi Town. The inauguration ceremony was performed by Chief Executive of Alkhidmat Karachi, Naveed Ali Baig.A large number of local residents attended the ceremony and appreciated Alkhidmat's efforts. Among those present were Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District West, Mudassir Ansari, Director of the WASH Program, Gohar-ul-Islam, Area Nazim Manazir-ul-Hasan, and Chairman UC-2, Noor-ul-Islam.Addressing the ceremony, Chief Executive Alkhidmat Karachi, Naveed Ali Baig, said that Alkhidmat is committed to providing citizens with clean and quality drinking water. He stated that ensuring access to safe drinking water and healthcare is primarily the responsibility of governments; however, Alkhidmat is serving humanity across eight major sectors of life, including these essential services. He added that millions of people are benefiting from Alkhidmat's WASH P rogram.He emphasized that clean drinking water is one of the most basic human necessities. The water supplied to many households is often not fit for drinking, leading to various health issues. Therefore, it is essential to provide citizens with safe and quality drinking water. This is why Alkhidmat is supplying clean and purified drinking water to the residents of Karachi at affordable rates.Baig further said that the newly inaugurated filtration plant will benefit a large number of residents in the area. He added that Alkhidmat aims to establish water filtration plants in every part of the city and appealed to philanthropists to support Alkhidmat's clean water projects.Speaking on the occasion, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District West, Mudassir Ansari, said that Alkhidmat is bringing hope and relief to underprivileged communities by fulfilling responsibilities that should ideally be carried out by the government. He noted that the people of the area were in urgent need of clean drinking water, and Alkhidma t responded by installing this water filtration plant. He urged residents to make full use of this valuable facility.Director of Alkhidmat's WASH Program, Gohar-ul-Islam, said that Alkhidmat has so far installed 75 water filtration plants across Karachi. He expressed the organization's vision of establishing filtration plants in every neighborhood so that the maximum number of people can benefit from safe drinking water.He further stated that Alkhidmat operates a modern Water Testing Laboratory, where water samples are regularly tested to ensure that the quality of drinking water is consistently maintained.
