Alkhidmat’s WASH Program and al-Hilal Society sign MoU for Clean Water Project

Karachi: Alkhidmat Karachi's WASH Program and al-Hilal Society have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on clean drinking water initiatives. The agreement was signed by Director Alkhidmat WASH Program Syed Gohar-ul-Islam and Chairman al-Hilal Society Muhammad Zeeshan Akhtar in the presence of officials from both organizations. Under the agreement, Alkhidmat and al-Hilal Society will jointly work on the installation of a Water Filtration Plant and an Automatic Water Dispensing (ADM) machine in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 14 to provide safe and quality drinking water to residents.Speaking on the occasion, Director Alkhidmat WASH Program Syed Gohar-ul-Islam said that Alkhidmat has been working for decades to provide clean drinking water across the country. He said that 73 water filtration plants are currently operational in Karachi, supplying high-quality drinking water to citizens at affordable rates. He further stated that trained staff and expert maintenance teams are responsible for the upk eep of these plants, while a modern water testing laboratory regularly monitors water quality standards. He added that Alkhidmat aims to establish more clean water plants across the city to ensure easy access to safe drinking water for the public. Gohar-ul-Islam termed the agreement with al-Hilal Society a welcome development and expressed hope that the project would be completed successfully.Chairman al-Hilal Society Muhammad Zeeshan Akhtar appreciated Alkhidmat's welfare services and said that its contributions in the water sector are highly commendable. He added that al-Hilal Society looks forward to expanding its cooperation with Alkhidmat in serving the community.
