Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said eradication of polio is vital national priority and all the stake holders should further accelerate joint efforts.
The PM has directed to place special focus and adopt effective strategy in regard to polio hot spots in KP. A seven-member delegation of Polio Oversight Board called on PM in Islamabad Tuesday.
The PM thanked all development partners for their continued cooperation with Pakistan in the fight against polio. PM said government is taking all possible steps to protect the future of children against crippling disease of polio.
He renewed the resolve about polio free Pakistan saying elimination of polio is vital national priority. All the stake holders should further accelerate the efforts. The PM directed to place special focus and evolve effective strategy regarding polio hot spots in South KP.
The PM thanked all development partners ROTARY INTERNATIONAL, WHO, , UNICEF, King Suleman Relief and others for their continued cooperation with Pakistan in the fight against polio.
The delegation while appreciating the government’s effective measures towards achieving a polio-free Pakistan paid tribute to PM Shehbaz Sharif for remarkable movement forward in this regard. .
