Alleged audio leaks of Bushra Bibi, son of former chief justice Pakistan case: Government challenges IHC decision in SC

ISLAMABAD: Federal government has challenged in Supreme Court (SC) the June 25 decision of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on the matter of alleged audio leaks of Bushra Bibi and son of former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar.In the appeal plea son of former chief justice of Pakistan, PTA, ministry of defence and others have been made respondents.The appeal plea said decision of one member bench of IHC is against the fact. IHC gave such relief which was not demanded from the court. High Court has no powers to take suo motu notice under article 199.IHC decision be declared null and void.When alleged video on distribution of tickets came to open then speaker National Assembly took notice and constituted special committee.Son of former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has challenged in high court his summoning by the committee.Calling reports by IHC from different institutions is trespassing the powers of high court. High court cannot go towards fact finding.
