Alleged violence against PTI Leaders: PTI leaders move SHC for registration of case against police officers

Karachi: PTI leaders in Karachi have resorted to Sindh High Court (SHC) for registration of case against police officers on the matter of alleged violence against them during police custody.

PTI leaders Raja Azhar and Fahim Khan have filed miscellaneous criminal petition in SHC.

According to Munib Khattak advocate , counsel for the petitioners police allegedly kidnapped both of the leaders from Mehran town Korangi Karachi on February 8.

The petition said the petitioners were subjected to worst violence during police custody which falls in the ambit of crime as per law.

The court is requested to order for registration of case against relevant police officers.

It was further said in the petition the subordinate court had rejected the petition for registration of case on the basis of police authorities report.

DIG East, SSP Korangi,DSP and other respective officers have been made respondents.

The hearing of the case by the court is expected.
