Islamabad: Altaf Ahmed Bhat, Chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) and senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), has extended warm Pakistan Day greetings to the people and leadership of Pakistan.

In his message, Altaf Ahmed Bhat said 23 March is a day that stands for courage, conviction, and the collective will of Muslims in the subcontinent to strive for freedom, dignity, and justice. He said the Lahore Resolution and the adoption of Pakistan's first constitution remain defining moments in the history of the region and continue to inspire peoples struggling for their rights and self-determination.

Altaf Ahmed Bhat paid tribute to Pakistan's founding fathers and all those who sacrificed their comfort for a homeland based on faith, unity, and discipline. He said the spirit of Pakistan Day resonates not only within Pakistan's borders but also among communities that continue to seek justice and freedom under oppression.

Highlighting the unbreakable bond between Pakistan and Kashmir, Bhat said the historic struggles and shared values of both peoples have created a strong friendship rooted in faith and a quest for rights. 'The people of Kashmir look to Pakistan with respect and gratitude for its unwavering moral, diplomatic, and political support for our just cause,' he said.

He also emphasized that Pakistan Day offers an opportunity to renew commitment to the principles of unity and solidarity, particularly in continuing to highlight the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ and K). Bhat expressed hope that Pakistan's commitment to Kashmir's rightful struggle will remain firm and vocal on all international platforms.

'Pakistan's ideology and its dedication to justice and dignity inspire those who yearn for freedom,' he said, adding that the Kashmiri people's struggle for rights and self-determination draws strength from this enduring bond.

Altaf Ahmed Bhat concluded his message by praying for the continued progress, peace, and prosperity of Pakistan, and for a future where the aspirations of the Kashmiri people for freedom are realized. He reaffirmed that the day is near when justice and freedom for Kashmir will be achieved.
