Lahore: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan's Secretary General Ameerul Azeem.

Commiserating with the bereaved family, PM Shehbaz Sharif prayed for the departed soul. He prayed higher status in heaven for the departed soul and courage for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

He said Ameerul Azeem was a politician of great insight and wisdom, and his services in the political field will always be remembered.

Meanwhile Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Minster for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar Advocate, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry and former minister Khawaja Muhammad Saad Rafique have also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan's Secretary General Ameerul Azeem.

Maryam Nawaz has paid tribute to the religious, social and political services of Ameerul Azeem.

Attaullah Tarar in his statement said that national and political services of Ameerul Azeem will always be remembered.
