Islamabad: Amendments in PECA act have been challenged in Supreme Court (SC).

Federation and others have been made respondents in the petition.

The petition against amendments in PEC A act has been filed by a citizen Qayyum Khan whereby court has been requested to nullify amendments made in PECA act.

The petitioner has requested for forming full bench to hear petition against amendments in PECA act saying amendments in PECA act run contrary to basic rights. Parliament has no power to legislate against basic rights.

The petitioner has said full court should not only review amendments but also original PECA act in the perspective of basic rights. The order for suspending the process of making rules by fake assembly and fake president be issued.
