Islamabad: On the Seventh Anniversary of Youm-e-Istehsal, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, participated in a solidarity walk on Constitution Avenue, Islamabad, to reaffirm Pakistan's unwavering support for the Kashmiri people.
Addressing the rally, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam reiterated Pakistan's steadfast political, diplomatic and moral support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people and their inalienable right to self-determination, in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and OIC resolutions.
Meanwhile Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi in a statement issued on Wednesday said that on Youm-e-Istehsal, Pakistan solemnly commemorates the seventh anniversary of India's illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019, which sought to alter the internationally recognised disputed status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Tahir Andrabi said that we pay tribute to the courage, resilience, and unwavering resolve of the people of IIOJK. Pakistan remains steadfast in its support for the just struggle of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for the realisation of their right to self-determination, as enshrined in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
