Another petition filed in LHC against Punjab protection ownership act, ordinance


Lahore: Another petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) against Punjab Protection Ownership Act and ordinance.

Following the filing of this petition number of petitions has reached 20.

The court has already issued orders for constitution of full bench in this case.

New petition has been filed by Abdullah Malik and Munir Ahmad through advocate Azhar Siddique.

Punjab government, chief secretary and law secretary have been made respondents in this petition.

The petitioner has taken the plea giving powers to administration in new law related to property cases is against the law. Exercising the powers of civil courts is not correct. It is unconstitutional.

The petitioner has requested the court to declare null and void property ownership act and ordinance and the steps taken under them . All the proceedings initiated under new law be reversed. All the steps be reversed.
