Islamabad: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) has stated that any aggressors will be met with the same decisive response as was given in May.

Speaking informally to the media at a luncheon hosted by King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan at the President's House in Islamabad, Syed Asim Munir said that Almighty Allah granted Pakistan victory in the conflict against India.

'Pakistan is a peace-loving nation but will respond firmly to any attempt to impose war, acting in accordance with Almighty Allah's command and fulfilling his duties,' he added.

The Field Marshal added that when Muslims place their trust in Almighty Allah, even seemingly insignificant actions can turn into powerful outcomes against their enemies, referencing the Battle of Uhud and quoting Quranic verses.

Meanwhile, a lengthy discussion also took place between President Asif Ali Zardari and the Field Marshal.
