APHC-AJK Condemns Seizure of Dr Fai’s Property by India as Political Vendetta

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) strongly condemned the Indian authorities' confiscation of properties belonging to US-based Kashmiri freedom leader Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai and other Kashmiris, calling it an act of political vendetta, state repression, and a violation of international law.

APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi said Dr Fai, a distinguished son of Kashmir, has long advocated for the Kashmiri dispute at international forums and remains a steadfast supporter of the UN-recognized right to self-determination. Safi described India's actions as part of a broader campaign of state terrorism aimed at silencing Kashmiri voices abroad.

He highlighted the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, including martyrs, political prisoners, enforced disappearances, and collective punishments, emphasizing that the freedom movement represents the collective will of the nation, not any individual or property. Coercive measures, he said, cannot deter Kashmiri activists from pursuing their rights.

The APHC-AJK urged the international community, including human rights organizations, the United Nations, and democratic countries, to take immediate notice of India's illegal actions. The statement stressed that repression, confiscation, and intimidation will not suppress the truth or defeat the Kashmiri struggle for freedom.
