Islamabad: Application of late Nawaz Khokhar father of Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar for issuance of arms license has been approved after his death.
High Court has announced decision of the case after 7 years. The case was registered in 2018.
The petitioner Nawaz Khokhar has passed away. His family members contested the case after his death.
Justice Azam Khan of Islamabad High Court while approving the application for issuance of license has issued 4-page written order.
It has been said in the court's decision Late Nawaz Khokhar father of petitioner obtained arms license on March 8, 1987 as Member of National Assembly (MNA).
As per Pakistan Arms Rules 41 the arms licenses which were not computerized are generally considered as cancelled.
As per decision this principle is not applicable to MNA. Therefore, the license of petitioner will not be considered cancelled.
Duplicate copy of his license be provided to the petitioner.
It is pertinent to mention here that arms license copy was lost in 2015.
