Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq has sent five names of parliamentarians to Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) for constitution of judicial commission in connection with appointment of induction of judges in superior judiciary.Government and opposition have been given equal representation therein.According to NA secretariat spokesperson following the approval by speaker NA , letter was sent by advisor legislation Muhammad Mushtaq to secretary of JCP which has been received by secretary judicial commission.Through this letter names have been forwarded keeping in view equal representation from government and opposition benches according to clause 2 of article 175-A of the constitution.Name of Sheikh Aftab Ahmad from ruling party has been sent from NA while name of opposition leader Umar Ayub has been from opposition side.Name of senator Farooq H Naik from government side and name of Senator Shibli Faraz has been sent from opposition side from Senate.Name of Miss Rosha n Khurshid Barocha has been sent for woman seat.According to NA spokesperson five members of parliament were included in JCP following the approval of 26th constitutional amendment. Two each among them are from government side and opposition side while one is woman parliamentarianAll the nominations have been received IN JCP and SC.Speaker NA made consultation with Chairman Senate Yousuf Raza Gillani and all parliamentary parties and sought the name from them before sending the names.On receipt of the names, five names were sent to JCP for further proceedings by fulfilling the requirements of constitution.
